The Vermilion Mask

Premiered October 10, 2026, from studio 100studio, and planned as two parts. It is a curse and mask story adapted from a manga, with Crunchyroll as the streaming partner. It suits viewers who like supernatural dark fantasy with a slow build. Expect violence and eerie imagery. Reports differ on the episode count, so we leave it out.

Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery

A Japanese theatrical film that opened on October 23, 2026, made by Kinema Citrus and directed by Masayuki Kojima. It continues the story after the 2022 TV season and is the first film in a planned theatrical series. No international release had been confirmed in the sources we checked. Content note: this franchise is known for body horror and harsh violence, with child protagonists who are not sexualized. STEEL BALL RUN JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: 2nd and 3rd Stage

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2

Studio Trigger's Netflix sequel premiered on October 20, 2026, with all 10 episodes released at once. It follows a new cast rather than continuing the first story directly, so it can work for newcomers. Content notes: gore, violence and mature themes. Reception from one outlet was mixed, so treat the hype with some caution.

Tank Chair

Premiered October 4, 2026, from Polygon Pictures in full CGI, adapted from Manabu Yashiro's manga. A former hitman is rebuilt into a combat wheelchair fighter. Prime Video is listed as the worldwide streamer, and sources report 12 episodes, though not all agree. Expect gore. It suits viewers who like rough, kinetic CGI action more than polished hand-drawn animation.

Devils' Crest

Scheduled for November 6, 2026 on Prime Video worldwide, animated by Production I.G from Reki Kawahara's light novels. A virtual world collides with real-world horror in a death game setup. The cast is school age, so it fits viewers who like thrillers with younger leads. Weekly Friday release is reported by a French outlet only.

Witch on the Holy Night

The ufotable film is scheduled for Japanese theaters on November 20, 2026, with a North American theatrical run reportedly set for January 2027. It adapts a Type-Moon visual novel and fits dark urban fantasy loosely. The leads are teenagers, and no sexual content is known. Choose it if you like moody, atmospheric fantasy.

It is a gritty real robot war story. Start with the original Armored Trooper Votoms. No international release is announced.

Expelled from Paradise: Resonance

Scheduled for Japanese theaters on November 13, 2026. Seiji Mizushima returns as director, Gen Urobuchi writes, and Toei Animation animates. It is a sequel to the 2014 film Expelled from Paradise, so watch that first. Cyberpunk space opera with mecha action.

Vertex Force

Premiered October 3, 2026, an original CGI super robot series with a tokusatsu flavor, reportedly 12 episodes, streaming on Crunchyroll according to one source. We have not confirmed the cast ages, so we cannot call it adult-oriented. Good for fans of classic super robot shows.

Dark Machine: The Animation

Dandivine
