No. The Berserk manga is not finished. Kentaro Miura died on 6 May 2021 with the story unfinished, and his former assistants at Studio Gaga have continued it since June 2022, supervised by his friend Kouji Mori. The latest chapter we can verify is chapter 386, from July 2026. No new anime has been announced.

The short answer
Berserk began in 1989 and is still running. It was never completed by its author, so there is no official final chapter. What exists today is Miura's original run, which ends at chapter 364, followed by a continuation written from what Mori remembers of Miura's plans.
New chapters arrive in bursts with long gaps between them. That pattern, not a cancellation, is why the question keeps coming back. What happened after Kentaro Miura died
Hakusensha, the publisher of Young Animal, announced Miura's death on 20 May 2021. He died on 6 May 2021 at age 54 of an acute aortic dissection. Chapter 364, his final work, ran in Young Animal on 10 September 2021, completed from his manuscript by his studio.

Who is writing Berserk now?
The credit reads original work by Kentaro Miura, art by Studio Gaga, supervised by Kouji Mori. Studio Gaga is the team of Miura's former assistants. Mori is a childhood friend of Miura who discussed the plot with him over the years.
Mori has been open about the limits of the project. At the 2022 announcement he said he would only write the episodes Miura had talked to him about and would not flesh them out. In a 2023 interview, as quoted on Wikipedia, he said he would never add his own twist. In June 2026 he apologized to readers for the wait before chapter 384 and said he and the editors had gone over the dialogue many times.
Will Berserk get an ending?
Nobody has announced one, and nobody has given a date. Mori has not said how much of Miura's plan he remembers or how many chapters remain, so any claim about "the last arc" is speculation. We do not repeat it.
It is also worth knowing what Miura himself said. In an interview Popverse revisited in June 2026, he said he once had the final moves planned but that it was now hard to say what would happen, and that he preferred to leave it to his subconscious. That interview gives no ending to quote, and neither does anything published since.

The English date moved. Dark Horse first listed volume 43 for 27 October 2026, then announced a delay to 24 November 2026 because of a production issue. Retailer pages that still show 27 October are out of date. We could not find a Japanese date for volume 44.
Anime News Network reported in March 2026 that Berserk had passed 10 million copies sold in English.
Why are new chapters so rare?
Releases since 2022 have come in short runs, such as three chapters in six weeks in mid-2026, followed by long silences. The publisher has given no reason for each pause. For chapter 384, Mori cited extensive rewrites. We do not know whether more chapters are ready after 386, and there is no hiatus announcement at the time of writing.
Is there a new Berserk anime?
No studio, format or date has been announced. The most recent anime work is the remastered Golden Age Memorial Edition, which aired from 2 October to 25 December 2022.

Where to read Berserk legally
Dark Horse Comics publishes the English edition, both as regular volumes and as larger Deluxe Editions. The Deluxe line began on 27 February 2019. New chapters appear in Japanese in Young Animal from Hakusensha. Check the publisher's own pages for the current volume list.
