On 30 March 2026, the day the Final Season's 13th episode aired, the production announced that the final chapter, the "Runaway Train" arc (Japanese: Boso Ressha-hen), would air "this winter" and released a teaser visual. Famitsu reported the wording "starting this winter" and added no date. Because the announcement came in spring 2026, "this winter" points to the winter 2026 to 2027 season, which is why we list it under Winter 2027 and in the Winter 2027 anime guide. We have not found an official statement that names January 2027, so treat that month as expected, not confirmed.

The safe summary is that the Runaway Train arc adapts the closing chapters of the manga, the part that resolves the hunt for the gold. If you read ahead, expect the ending to be in the last volume.
