Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Releases Two Music Videos
CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger released music videos for Watson, the ending theme, and a High Forever remix for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 on November 3, 2026.

CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger released two new music videos for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 on November 3, 2026: "Watson," the show's ending theme by Petite Meller, and a remix of "High Forever" by Marlon Hoffstadt. The anime has streamed on Netflix since October 20.

What was announced

  • "Watson" (feat. Oslo Green) by Petite Meller is the ending theme. Its music video is original animation built around the relationship between Weak Kingsley, known as King, and Avida.
  • The "High Forever (Marlon Hoffstadt Remix)" video, also by Petite Meller, is cut from scenes in the series itself.
  • Both tracks sit on the official soundtrack album from Milan Records, alongside Rico Nasty's "You Can't Run From Me," BIJI, DOUDOU and Corbin. The Cure performs the opening, "10:15 Saturday Night."

Background

Edgerunners 2 is a standalone 10-episode story set in the Cyberpunk 2077 world, made by CD Projekt Red and Trigger. The premiere date was set in an August 21, 2026 press release, and the season arrived on Netflix on October 20. The director is Kai Ikarashi, who directed episode 6, "Girl on Fire," of the 2022 original, with Bartosz Sztybor as showrunner and Tsuneo Imahori composing the 39-track score.

The theme songs were revealed at the Anime Expo panel on July 3, 2026. The soundtrack album and the score album both went live on streaming services after the premiere.

What it means

This is a music-led second wave of marketing, two weeks after launch. Most anime push songs before a premiere, then go quiet. Here the label and studio are using original animation to keep the show in feeds while viewers are still finishing the season, and the "Watson" video does it by spotlighting King, a veteran edgerunner who Netflix describes as living "in the shadow of his former glory."

It also shows how much weight the franchise puts on its soundtrack. This season has an eight-song vocal album next to a separate 39-track score. If you plan to watch, expect the same hyper-violent, chrome-obsessed tone the cast descriptions promise, and treat the "Watson" video as a mood piece to save until after you have seen the season, since it centers on two characters' relationship.

We have not verified details beyond what the source describes, such as where the "Watson" animation sits in the story's timeline.
